User Researcher

In This Role You Will:
  • Ensure research is grounded in deep and contextual understanding of what matters to the customers.
  • Own and manage user research activities; everything from guerrilla research to online usability test and generative research programs.
  • Deliver end to end research program – conduct and moderate one-on-one in depth interview sessions, research synthesis, compile reports and presentation of findings.
  • Create and maintain a repository of research knowledge/insights, Customer Journeys and other deliverables from research activities.
  • Researching / trialling new research tools to improve research practices and work efficiencies .
  • A relentless drive to get stuff done.  A hands-on problem solver, you persevere when others fall away. You do whatever it takes to generate and present meaningful insights – trawl research recordings and help with translation as needed.
  • Work closely with designers, product managers, engineers and analytics team .

You’re a great fit if you have:

  • At least 3 years of working experience as user researcher with knowledge and experience in various research methods (Qualitative and Quantitative). Able to work with user research independently – observation, interview, survey, contextual and usability testing).
  • Curious about people and their behaviour, obsessive about uncovering customer problems.
  • An analytical mind to sift through the behaviours, finding meaning in research data and translating it into insights.
  • Ability to probe for meaning in user interviews, must be comfortable having conversation with people and search for behavioural patterns.
  • Strong written and spoken English, and multi-lingual to facilitate interviews in local language (added advantage).
  • Team player.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
  • Degree in Organizational Psychology, Human Centred Design or equivalent. A working experience of the equivalent is also acceptable for the position.
