Data Manager

In This Role You Will:

Technical & Functional Skills:

  • Ability to access a relational database using SQL with fluent ability to understand, write and modify SQL code.
  • Experience with navigating databases or data warehouse to understand data sources and performing data cleansing and modelling tasks is preferred.
  • Ability to leverage data visualization tools to create reports and dashboards e.g. Google Data Studio, Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy.
  • Good understanding of core concepts in descriptive and inferential statistics e.g. normal distribution, hypothesis testing.
  • Familiarity with marketing metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Familiarity with customer analytics concepts e.g. segmentation, retention, funnel analysis.
  • Python/R or Machine Learning/Data Mining knowledge is a plus.


Soft Skills:

  • Ability to work with senior business stakeholders to assess ambiguous, high level business problems, translate them into Analytics plans, and subsequent prioritize and execute the ones with highest impact.
  • Ability to develop direct reports and surrounding team members through coaching.

You’re a great fit if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or other related fields.
  • 5+ years of Analytics experience with at least 2 years of team leadership / people management experience.
  • Experience in B2C e-commerce or loyalty with a mobile app product is preferred.
  • Financial services experience is a plus.
  • Understanding of the key drivers within the payments/loyalty domain is preferred, but not a requirement.
