Data Analyst Lead

In This Role You Will:
  • Collaborate with senior product stakeholders to define key metrics and analysis frameworks holistically across the entire product system, including B2C and B2B.
  • Help senior product stakeholders to assess ambiguous, high level product problems, translate them into Analytics action plans, and subsequent prioritize and execute the ones with highest impact.
  • Coach direct reports in technical analysis skills and effective prioritization and execution.
  • Craft and support the development plans for direct reports to grow their functional and soft skills.
  • Actively monitor product performance trends to identify variations in our metric performance and surface them to product managers and in product portfolio meetings.
  • Use analytical methods to measure the effectiveness of key product changes.
  • Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for product prioritization and feature building efforts.
  • Conduct deep dive analysis to understand reasons behind variations in our product metrics and communicate root causes to senior product stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the data driven culture in the company by publishing impactful analyses and sharing useful data resources to the broader organization.
  • Contribute to the data team knowledge base and overall team growth through effective work documentation & peer knowledge sharing.

You’re a great fit if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or other related fields.
  • 4+ years of Analytics experience with at least 1-2 years of formal/informal leadership experience.
  • Understanding of the key drivers within the transactional B2C/payments/loyalty domain is preferred, but not a requirement.
  • Financial services experience is a plus.


Technical & Functional Skills:

  • Ability to access a relational database using SQL with fluent ability to understand, write and modify SQL code.
  • Experience with navigating databases or data warehouse to understand data sources and performing data cleansing and modelling tasks is preferred.
  • Experience with Product Analytics tools e.g. Mixpanel, Amplitude, Google Analytics.
  • Ability to leverage data visualization tools to create reports and dashboards e.g. Google Data Studio, Power BI, Tableau. MicroStrategy.
  • Good understanding of core concepts in descriptive and inferential statistics e.g. normal distribution, hypothesis testing.
  • Familiarity with setting up metrics and key performance indicators for either B2C or B2B products.
  • Familiarity with customer analytics concepts e.g. conversion, segmentation, retention, funnel analysis.


Soft Skills:

  • Ability to work with senior product stakeholders to assess ambiguous, high level product problems, translate them into Analytics plans, and subsequent prioritise and execute the ones with highest impact.
  • Ability to develop direct reports and surrounding team members through coaching.
  • Positive team player with strong collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work with technical stakeholders in product and engineering to understand the product as-a-whole and the types of data we can/should track.
